Info: HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin hormone) is naturally produced by our bodies when a woman is pregnant. There are many uses for HCG in medicine, including treating infertility and controlling hormones. HCG is commonly used in bodybuilding during PCT to stimulate the body to produce testosterone on its own again when stimulants such as anabolic steroids are not used.
EFFECTS:
HCG works by mimicking the luteinizing hormone (LH) in females, which causes them to ovulate and therefore become pregnant. HCG in men increases sperm and increases testosterone levels, making it a treatment for hypogonadism. In addition, in bodybuilding, the substance HCG, applied after a cycle, can have the same effect; it stimulates the testes to begin producing the male hormone testosterone. This prevents muscle wasting and helps to stay with the drive up by signaling the testes to produce testosterone.
DOSE AND DURATION OF USE:
Different people who want to accomplish different tasks require varying levels of HCG. It is often used as 2000–3000 IU weekly in testosterone replacement treatment (TRT); in bodybuilding, sometimes bigger doses (5000–10,000 IU per week) are used, but the majority are happy with 5000–6000 IU per week. Follow this advice from your doctor carefully to get the correct doses.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:
Side effects of HCG injections may include bloating, acne, headaches, mood swings, tenderness of the breast, tiredness, and reactions at the injection site. In order to address these potential side effects, you will likely be monitored and will need to consult with a physician.
COMBINATION WITH OTHER MEDICINES:
HCG is sometimes combined with others in the performance of weightlifting. Commonly, HCG is mixed with testosterone, clomid, nolvadex, anastrozole, and HGH. The mixes help in making everything work better, keeping the hormones in balance, and, in addition, faster recovery during the post-cycle treatment. You will always talk to your doctor before starting HCG with any other medications.
