RECOMMENDED DOSE AND DURATION OF USE:

Exemestane is best absorbed with or after a meal. The treatment cycle lasts, on an average, between 2 to 4 weeks at doses administered 2 to 3 times weekly on nonconsecutive days. Dosages for normal beginners start with 12.5mg every other day, but will around 12.5mg daily suited for intermediate users. Professional users will typically use 25mg per day. Usually, women need to take 12.5mg per day or every other day. Exemestane has a half-life of about 25 to 27 hours and is detectable in the body for up to 130 hours. The detection window is estimated to be 2 to 3 weeks.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:

Side effects of the drug include joint pain, weakness and fatigue, hot flashes, headaches, hypertension, and depression. Very uncommon side effects include symptoms of nausea and vomiting.

COMBINATION WITH OTHER MEDICINES:

Another nice thing about Exemestane is that it can be used as part of a steroid cycle, not just post-cycle therapy. This gives it a potent advantage against Arimidex for inhibiting estrogen. Furthermore, emestane could increase testosterone levels.
