Info: Tamoxifen Citrate by AstraZeneca, in the beginning, was well known to help women with breast cancer and infertility, primarily those affected by oestrogen-receptor-positive breast cancer. But over time, it has been repurposed for other uses. It remains a mainstay in the treatment of breast cancer for women and is mandatory for men with breast cancer. The drug is also used off label for other purposes, such as keeping people in early pregnancy, treating precancerous states, and maintaining people with a high risk of carrying another pregnancy, whose pregnancy would be very likely to worsen their existing medical problems.

EFFECTS:

It also increases testosterone levels, and improves sexual function, especially for post-cycle therapy (PCT) users. It binds to oestrogen receptors, breaking this negative feedback loop, so it also increases testosterone levels, improving libido and erectile function, which is becoming more common, especially in steroid cycles.

DOSE AND DURATION OF USE:

Until the symptoms are relieved, breathing between 10 and 20 mg a day prevents gynecomastia at a low dose. To stabilise hormone levels and reduce the negative impact of steroids, it is recommended to take 20–40 mg daily for 4-6 weeks in post-cycle therapy.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:

Common side effects can include hot flashes, vaginal dryness or discharge, changes in your periods, mood changes, weight gain or loss, and hair loss or thinning. Side effects should be closely monitored, and if they become too bothersome or interfere with daily life, they should be shared with your healthcare provider.

COMBINATION WITH OTHER MEDICINES:

Up to 6 months, incorporating Clomiphene Citrate (Clomid) or Proviron can not only lower oestrogen levels but can also be optimised to increase the body's own production of testosterone back to its natural levels.
